At Kanza Mental Health & Guidance Center, we are committed to offering comprehensive and tailored support to address the mental health challenges faced by farmers and agricultural families.

  • Individual Therapy: Work with a licensed therapist to explore and manage personal mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, stress, or burnout.

  • Family Therapy: Strengthen relationships and address shared challenges within families, whether it's stress, financial
    pressures, or communication issues.

  • Substance Use Counseling: Assistance for individuals or families dealing with substance use issues, often exacerbated
by stress and isolation in the agricultural sector. We offer personalized support to help achieve recovery.

  • Stress and Resilience Management: Techniques to handle the everyday pressures of farming, from managing unpredictable weather and crop loss to maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

  • Telehealth Services: For those in remote areas, we offer telehealth sessions, allowing you to receive therapy from the
    comfort of your home.

  • Referrals and Community Resources: If additional services are needed beyond what we provide, our care team will
connect you with other local resources to ensure continuity of care

What We Have To Offer

What Is This Program?

Thanks to a grant from the Health Innovations Network of Kansas, Kanza Mental Health and Guidance Center is offering free behavioral health care vouchers to individuals and families involved in farming and agriculture. If you're uninsured or underinsured, these vouchers will provide access to three free sessions, including an initial evaluation, to help you or your loved ones receive the care you need.

Who Is Eligible?

  • Farmers and agricultural workers who are uninsured or underinsured

  • Family members of those working in agriculture who are uninsured or underinsured

Why Mental Health Matters in Agriculture

  • The Unique Challenges of Agriculture: Farmers and agricultural workers face numerous challenges that can impact their
mental health, such as unpredictable weather, financial uncertainty, long working hours, and isolation. These stressors can lead to feelings of anxiety, depression, and burnout, making it crucial to seek support when needed.

  • You're Not Alone: In the farming community, many feel a strong sense of responsibility and may hesitate to ask for help. However, reaching out for mental health care is a sign of strength.

  • Breaking the Stigma: We understand that mental health can still be a sensitive topic in farming communities. At Kanza, we offer a safe space where individuals and families can talk openly and receive the care they deserve—without fear of judgment
